It is also defined as a branch of knowledge, measurable or having been systematic principles instead of intuition and/or technical skill. Branches of science include Formal, Natural, Physical, Life, Social, Behavioral, Cognitive, and Applied; in modern times, two of them, Natural and Social, are typically the main ones.
The name "science" is rooted from the Latin word "scientia", meaning "knowledge, awareness, understanding", and was earlier used as a synonym for "knowledge" and/or "study" in preservative relation to such origins. |
